January thoughts

Jazzy T on Jan 14th 2024

Here it is a new year! Everyone is past most of the holiday season, but here at Jazzy T Foods we are still going strong.

Busy making King Cakes, filling soup orders and getting prepped for Super Bowl, Valentine's, St Patrick's and Easter.

Yes, we have added a line of individual size dry soup mixes and they are going like hot cakes at a free breakfast! Our soup mixes are such a great thing to have on hand too. Not only for making a tasty hot cup of soup when you are busy, not feeling the cooking jive or just need a little afternoon pick-me-up, but they make an amazing addition when used while making a stew, pot of soup, adding a bit of flavor to some rice or mixing in with ground meat to give those burgers, sliders and meatloaves a high note. Like all our other products we source the best ingredients we can find and do not put in any extra fillers, sodiums or other man made non-caking agents.

Taco/Burrito Filling

1lb. lean ground beef (93% lean-if possible)

1-2 Tbl finely chopped onion

1 Tble finely chopped garlic

2 Tbl Jazzy T Foods Mexican Seasoning blend (more to taste)

1 pckg Jazzy T Foods Beefy Mushroom Soup mix

For Burrito filling:

All the above ingredients

1 can refried black beans

Cook ground beef, onion, garlic and Mexican blend, in a skillet, until beef is cooked through, drain if needed leaving a couple of tablespoons of the grease in the skillet. Add in package of soup mix stir well and adjust spice to taste. If making burrito filling, add beans before Soup Mix. Check flavor and adjust spices as needed. Serve with your favorite taco and burrito toppings. Don't forget the Southwest Dip Mix to finish everything off!

TIPS:

Meat filling can be used to make a taco salad, nachos or to add to a baked potato.

If using a drier meat like turkey or venison, add butter and olive oil in equal amounts of 1-2 Tbl each to meat while cooking.

If using less than 93% lean beef, some fat will need to be drained off, leaving just a couple of Tbl in skillet with the beef mixture before adding Soup Mix.
