Our own blends of hot sauces are a great idea for a father's day gift, hostess gift, wedding favor, stocking stuffer, or if you just want to spice things up a little and add some flavor while giving a touch of heat to your dishes.
The focus when developing them was on flavor with a little heat, rather than all heat that masks the flavor of your food.
Bottled in a 2 ounce woozy bottle, packed in a Kraft box and completed with a fabric bow, makes this a gift ready to give.
Flavors listed in order of intensity:
Voo Doo - More of a sweet sauce with just a touch of heat to compliment the flavor. Made with Sweet chili peppers, along with my own Jamaican spice blend. I love to use this one in place of sweet and sour on egg rolls and makes a nice salad dressing. Contains Honey.
Cajun Pepper - This is a traditional red pepper sauce made using hot red peppers along with a few sweet ones to smooth out the blend. A lot less salt and not near as much of the vinegar after taste found in the store bought brands. This a good one to use in any recipe that calls for hot sauce and makes a great buffalo wing sauce. Vegan friendly.
Ja Makin' - Hot red peppers combined with brown sugar and allspice lend a unique flavor that compliments a variety of foods. My husband loves this one on his tacos and burritos. Contains brown sugar.
Bayou Habanero - As the name says, this is made mostly with Habanero peppers and has a mustard base that is quite well balanced. The heat comes out at the end and has a bit of a lingering affect. Good with pork or seafood or just about anywhere you would like a bit of extra flavor. Contains brown sugar.
Swamp Juice - Made with Serrano and Habanero peppers, this would be my hottest blend. There are also some distinctive citrus flavors that hit the pallet before the heat steps in. This one is also a good companion for seafood but try it on other dishes as well. Vegan friendly.
